Hit-and-Run Shock: Cyclist Seriously Injured on Stakesby Road
In the early hours of Tuesday, March 28, a 63-year-old cyclist was slammed by a car while cycling along Stakesby Road towards Spring Vale.
The victim was left battered on the road with serious injuries. Paramedics treated him at the scene before rushing him to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Driver Ditches Damaged Vauxhall After Crash
The hit-and-run vehicle, believed to be a Vauxhall, suffered visible damage. But shockingly, the driver sped off and has not been caught.
Police suspect the car may have been abandoned nearby after the collision.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Police are hunting anyone who spotted a damaged vehicle or caught the crash on private CCTV.
