Battle of Agincourt Comes to Life with Harry’s Hampshire Map Launch!
The Road To Agincourt project is set to unveil its cutting-edge interactive and wearable map, Harry’s Hampshire, at next month’s Hamble Festival of Food. Designed by tech wizards Marcus Pullen of Blue Donut Studios and David Overton of SplashMaps, this innovative map brings history right to your fingertips.
Wearable History: Technology Meets Tradition
Based in Eastleigh’s Tec Hub, the creative duo combined their skills to craft a unique homage to Hampshire’s vital role in King Henry V’s march to the legendary Battle of Agincourt. The map uses the latest tech to transform historic locations into immersive animations and stories—just a tap from your smartphone away.
Launch Details & Unique Design
The official debut of Harry’s Hampshire will take place at Hamble Festival of Food in Hamble Quay on Saturday, 23 April. SplashMaps’ Managing Director David Overton revealed,
“We first thought to make a fabric map as a lasting keepsake. Adding digital content came later, and Blue Donut Studios brought the storytelling expertise that made it truly special.”
The map is based on the 17th-century John Speed map of Hampshire and printed on SplashMaps’ durable, weather-proof fabric. Blue Donut Studios layered in augmented reality, allowing users to explore history hands-free via smartphone barcode scanning.
Local Talent Brings History to Life
Marcus Pullen, founder of Blue Donut Studios, said,
“It looks great and is so wearable — perfect for history lovers on the go. It’s a fun, engaging way to dive into Hampshire’s role before the Battle of Agincourt.”
Festival Foodie Heaven
The Hamble Festival of Food promises a feast for all foodies with top local treats like savoury pies, biltong, artisan pork pies, and cheeses. The food fest runs from 10am to 4pm on 23 April at Hamble Quay – a tasty day out awaits!
