Man Stabbed Outside Greenwich Mosque in Shocking Plumstead Attack

A violent spell hit Plumstead on Friday as a man was knifed in broad daylight right outside the Greenwich Islamic Centre. Just minutes later, emergency services scrambled to a second, unrelated incident nearby.

Two Men Arrested After Mosque Stabbing

The drama unfolded around 1pm on Plumstead Road when police were called to reports of a stabbing at the mosque. Officers and paramedics found a man in his 30s with serious stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital, but his condition remains unknown.

Two suspects, a man in his 20s and another in his 30s, were pinned down at the scene. Both are now in police custody on suspicion of grievous bodily harm as detectives dig deeper.

“Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Plumstead Road, SE18, at around 13:00hrs on Friday, 11 April. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service. One man in his 30s was taken to hospital for stab wounds. There is no update on the man’s injuries at this time. Two arrests have been made and remain in custody. Separate Emergency Shakes Plumstead High Street

Only minutes after the stabbing, emergency crews rushed to Plumstead High Street, just a four-minute drive away. A bus stop was sealed off, with paramedics performing CPR on a woman, according to witnesses. Police, fire engines, and ambulances flooded the scene.

Authorities have confirmed the two dramas are not linked and have yet to disclose the woman’s condition.
