Man in Critical Condition After Camberwell Shooting

Police on patrol in Southwark made a chilling discovery on Wednesday 28 December. At around 5.40pm, they found a 20-year-old man seriously injured on Camberwell Church Street, near Grove Lane, SE5.

Police and Air Ambulance Rush to Scene

London’s Air Ambulance treated the man at the scene before rushing him to a south London hospital. He suffered gunshot wounds and head injuries and remains in a critical condition. His family has been informed.

Gunshots Ring Out Close By

Minutes before the injured man was found, shots were fired in Leontine Close, Peckham, SE15. Police have linked the two incidents and sealed off the area with cordons. No other injuries have been reported.

Detectives Appeal for Witnesses

No arrests have been made yet. Detectives are hunting for information.
