Shock as body of Czech man found near exclusive golf club

Death not suspicious but questions remain

The lifeless body of Michal Brom, a 34-year-old Czech national, was found close to the London Golf Club in Ash. Kent Police confirmed his death is not being treated as suspicious. However, they’ve released his image, hoping someone recognises him or spotted him in the days before he died.

Mystery surrounds Michal’s final days

Police were called at 2.45pm on September 4 after a body was spotted in the water near a public footpath. Emergency crews confirmed Michal was dead at the scene. His family have been informed.

Detective Sergeant Graham Norman said, “It remains unclear why Michal was in such a remote area. He had only arrived in the UK in July this year. We still don’t know how or why he travelled to Ash, or how he ended up in the lake where he lost his life.”

Police appeal for witnesses

DS Norman added, “We hope someone might recognise Michal or recall seeing him nearby. We want to speak to anyone who had contact with him before his death but hasn’t yet spoken to police. Your information could provide crucial answers and bring some closure to his family.”
