Woman Sexually Assaulted in N4 – Police Hunt Man in Yellow Beanie

Just after 1.40am on Sunday, March 12, a woman was grabbed and sexually assaulted while walking along Cornwall Road near Lancaster Road, N4. The suspect then fled northbound on Lancaster Road. Thankfully, the victim was not physically harmed.

Police Release E-Fit of Key Suspect

Detectives from the North Area Command Unit are on the lookout for a Black man in his early to mid-20s. He stands around 5ft 7ins tall and was wearing a standout yellow beanie at the time.

Despite several enquiries in the area, the suspect remains at large.

Detective Pleads for Public Help

Detective Inspector Paul Ridley, who leads investigations into violence against women and girls, said: “It is vital we find this man immediately. If you recognise him or were nearby during the assault, please come forward.

“If anyone else has been approached by a man matching this description, we urge you to get in touch. He might have committed other crimes locally. Reporting this could stop more victims.”
