19-Year-Old Stabbed to Death in Stroud Green Horror

A grim crime scene remains on Stroud Green Road at the Tollington Park junction after police were called shortly before 3am on Thursday, 11 July. Reports came in of a man with stab wounds found at the location.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Officers, London Ambulance Service, and medics from London’s Air Ambulance attended. They discovered a 19-year-old man injured inside a car. Despite desperate efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car’s male driver was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Investigation Underway – Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Kirk from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command leads the inquiry. He revealed the victims were attacked near Seven Sisters Road by Yonge Park, then drove to Stroud Green Road where the vehicle stopped.

“If you were driving between Seven Sisters Road and Stroud Green Road around that time, please check your dashcam for anything useful,” said DCI Kirk. “Local residents with doorbell or CCTV footage are urged to come forward as a matter of urgency.”

“A young man has lost his life under violent circumstances. We’re working fast to uncover what happened and bring those responsible to justice.”

Community Reacts – Police Reassure Residents

Superintendent Annmarie Cowley, responsible for policing in Islington and Camden, expressed sympathy for the victim’s family.

“My thoughts are with the family and friends as they come to terms with this tragedy,” she said. “We understand the community’s concerns and will maintain a visible police presence in the area over the coming days.”

“We are also working with local partners to offer support to anyone affected.”
