A 61-year-old man was arrested on Monday, 27 November, in Ealing for racially aggravated criminal damage after multiple attacks involving red paint.
12 Paint Attacks Across Hammersmith, Fulham, and Ealing
The suspect is linked to 12 separate incidents between 16 October and 18 November. The vandalism targeted various locations across the boroughs of Hammersmith, Fulham, and Ealing.
Police Crack Down on Hate Crime
The man was taken into custody and remains held as the investigation continues.
Detective Superintendent Figo Forouzan said: “Hate crime has no place in London. Its effects run far deeper than property damage, and the impact on victims can linger beyond the removal of the paint.
“Officers have been working incredibly hard to identify the individual responsible for these offences and provide the relevant support and reassurance to those affected.”
“The victims are being supported by dedicated faith officers, and neighbourhood teams have changed their patrol times and routes to provide additional reassurance.”
Police continue their efforts to stamp out hate crimes in the capital, urging the community to stay vigilant.
