Manhunt Underway After Brutal Stabbing on West London Estate

Detectives are urgently hunting a man captured on camera just minutes before a brutal stabbing on the Brunel Estate, west London.

Shocking Attack at Dawn

Police released footage showing the suspect waiting at a bus stop on the Brunel Estate at 5:15am on Wednesday, 22 April—shortly before the attack unfolded nearby. At 5:36am, London Ambulance Service alerted police to a stabbing off 1 Park Road, W2.

Officers found a man in his 50s with a stab wound to his stomach. Despite his injuries, the victim managed to board a bus and told a fellow passenger he had been stabbed. The passenger alerted the driver, who provided assistance until emergency services arrived.

Victim Fighting for Life in Hospital

Detectives believe the stabbing happened just 100 yards from the bus stop seen in the CCTV footage. The victim was rushed to a central London hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

No arrests have been made yet as police continue their probe into the senseless attack.

Police Plea for Information

Detective Chief Inspector Christina Jessah said: “We urgently need to identify the man in the footage. We don’t know why this victim was attacked—there’s no obvious motive. It was a terrible assault, and the man is still fighting for his life in hospital.”

“We also want to hear from anyone who was on the N28 or N31 bus near Westbourne Park Road at the time, or local residents who might have heard raised voices. Even the smallest detail could help.”
