Brunel Estate Horror Unfolds at Dawn
The footage shows the suspect at 5.15am on Wednesday, 22 April, at a bus stop on the Brunel Estate. Just minutes later, a man in his 50s was stabbed in the stomach nearby.
London Ambulance Service called police at 5.36am after the victim flagged down a bus to report the attack. A fellow passenger alerted the driver, who stayed with the victim until emergency services arrived.
Victim Fighting for Life in Hospital
The wounded man was rushed to a central London hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition. No arrests have been made yet.
Detective Chief Inspector Christina Jessah said: “We still really need to identify the man pictured and would urge anyone with information to contact us immediately. At this stage we don’t know why the victim was stabbed and there is no obvious reason. But it was undoubtedly an awful attack and he remains in hospital fighting for his life.”
“We’d also like to speak to anyone who was using N28 or N31 buses around Westbourne Park Road at the time, or local residents who heard anything suspicious – no matter how small it seems, please do get in touch.”
