Second Suspect Held Over Waltham Forest Murder
Detectives have made a second arrest in the murder of 32-year-old Abdi Khadar Adan from Waltham Forest. A 23-year-old man was taken into custody on Wednesday, 25 August, on suspicion of murder. He is currently being held at an east London police station.
Fatal Stabbing Shakes Lea Bridge
Police were called at 4:31pm on Sunday, 22 August, after reports of a stabbing on Lea Bridge Road, E10. Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
Abdi Khadar Adan was found with life-threatening stab wounds. Despite treatment at the scene and hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Investigation Underway
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the inquiry. A post-mortem on Tuesday, 24 August confirmed the cause of death as a stab injury. Abdi’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
