Wild Police Chase Ends in Patrol Car Smash on North End Road
Chaos erupted on North End Road, Fulham, on Saturday afternoon when a vehicle rammed a marked Met Police car during a desperate attempt to evade officers. The chased car collided with the police vehicle, causing it to overturn, but thankfully the officers escaped serious injury.
Officers Injured But Stable
The incident happened around 5:10pm as officers tried to stop the suspect’s car. Despite the violent crash, the police on board suffered only minor injuries and were treated at the scene. London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service quickly responded to the emergency.
Suspect Arrested as Investigation Underway
The driver behind the reckless escape attempt was arrested on multiple suspicions and taken to a central London police station, where he remains in custody. Meanwhile, North End Road remains closed while officers conduct a thorough investigation and search the area for clues.
Police Update on the Incident
“At about 17:10hrs on Saturday, 8 April, officers attempted to stop a car in the vicinity of North End Road in Fulham. The vehicle failed to stop and collided with a marked police car, causing it to overturn,” said a Met Police spokesman.
Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
