Gardaí Raid Nets Huge Drug Bust

Gardaí from the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) struck big in Stirling, Co. Meath, seizing an eye-watering €350,000 worth of drugs. The haul came during a major search on March 19, part of a crackdown on a notorious criminal gang based in West Dublin.

What They Found

The operation uncovered a sizeable stash of illegal substances, including:

  • 12 kilograms of cannabis herb
  • 400 grams of heroin
  • 8 bars of cannabis resin
  • Various cannabis oils, gels, jellies, and vapes

The total street value of the drugs is pegged at around €350,000, with forensic analysis ongoing.

Suspects Locked Up

Four men were arrested at the scene and are now held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. They face up to seven days in Garda custody while investigations continue.

“This seizure marks a significant development in our efforts to disrupt the supply and distribution of illegal drugs by organised criminal groups operating in the Dublin region.
