Elderly Man Knifed in Tooting Home Assault

Police raced to Fishponds Road, Tooting, at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, 4 December, after reports of a violent attack.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service found a man in his late 70s with knife wounds inside the house. He was rushed to hospital, where medics confirmed his injuries are serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.

Suspect Locked Up After Morning Attack

A 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and is now in police custody. The Metropolitan Police say inquiries are ongoing, but the public is not at risk.
