Emergency services, including the London Air Ambulance, London Fire Brigade, and specialist paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, were called to a building site on Plumstead Road at approximately 9:00 AM on Wednesday following reports of a person becoming trapped under heavy equipment.

A significant emergency response remains at the scene as firefighters work to free the man, who is reported to be physically trapped by a large weight believed to be a lift shaft.
