Man in 20s Murdered in Early Morning Attack on Affleck Road

Police rushed to Affleck Road shortly after 12:15am this Friday, 11 December, following reports of a serious assault. Tragically, a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another person at the property suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Suspect Arrested as Community Shocked

A local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. District Commander Chief Inspector Jon Evans reassured residents, calling the attack “a targeted, isolated incident.”

Police Appeal for Information and Footage

Since the appeal this morning, locals have handed over CCTV and doorbell footage and shared details of what they saw or heard around the time of the attack.
