The family of a 15-year-old boy injured in a hit-and-run on the Isle of Wight have released a shocking photo of his injuries to hunt down the reckless driver.
Shock Collision in Cowes
Police were called to Baring Road, Cowes, just after 3.30pm on Thursday, July 7, following a crash involving a car and the teenage pedestrian. The collision happened near the junction with Crossfield Avenue.
The culprit? A small, black, low-slung vehicle that sped off without stopping. Victim Carlo Bozzola, an Italian student visiting the island, was left battered with cuts and bruises over his face, arms, legs, and knees.
Family Plea for Justice
Carlo’s family has bravely shared a graphic photo of his injuries to urge the driver and any witnesses to step forward. PC Neil Corby said:
“We are supporting Carlo and his family following this incident. They wanted this photograph released as it clearly shows the injuries he suffered. This whole incident has caused them all a lot of distress and we will do all we can to trace the driver.”
“I would appeal directly to the driver to come forward immediately and to anyone else with information that could help this investigation.”
