Heartbreaking First Image of Adam Henry, 15, Released After North London Stabbing
“A Loving Son Taken Way Too Soon”
The first picture of teenager Adam Henry, fatally stabbed on a north London estate, has emerged. The 15-year-old was found with a single stab wound on Tuesday and rushed to hospital – but efforts to save him failed. The tragic killing has prompted a murder probe.
“Our beautiful son, Adam, was cruelly taken from us on Tuesday afternoon. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend. We will never recover from the loss or not having him in our lives,” his heartbroken family said.
They described Adam as cheeky, loyal and good-natured, with a sharp sense of humour. “While only 15 years old, the beautiful memories we have of him can never be forgotten,” they added, asking for privacy as police investigate.
School and Community Left Reeling
Flowers and tributes have been laid near St Mary Magdalene Academy in Islington, close to where Adam was attacked. His family, friends and his girlfriend of three years have all been left devastated.
“He was very funny. Just a nice boy,” a relative said.
“He was a lovely boy, we are all devastated. There have been friends crying at the scene. It’s such a waste of life. He had his whole life ahead of him,” a former teacher told Metro.
The school released a statement, expressing deep sorrow and offering support to Adam’s parents and siblings.
Community Outraged Over Rising Youth Violence
Adam’s girlfriend’s mother, who asked to remain anonymous, said:
“There are too many boys this age dying. It’s got worse and worse. My daughter is struggling to process it. Young people are dying every day over senseless violence.”
Neighbours describe Adam as polite, respectful and not involved in gangs. He loved biking and playing football. One local said:
“He always had a smile on his face. Just a normal kid who didn’t cause trouble.”
The stabbing happened at Atlas Mews, off Westbourne Road. Witnesses recall frantic police and paramedic efforts to save him.
“There was shouting and running before the police arrived. The medics’ body language told us it was serious,” a witness said.
Police Plea As Hunt Continues
Detectives are trawling CCTV, doorbell footage and knocking on doors as they hunt the killer. The area remains cordoned off.
“Our thoughts go out to the family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. We urge anyone with information to come forward,” said Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart.
This isn’t the first tragedy at the estate. In 2020, a 22-year-old was shot dead nearby.
“It makes us fearful. Things are getting very dangerous here. First Imani, now this boy. It’s tragic,” said local resident Dior.
Islington Council leader Una O’Halloran added:
“We are deeply shocked and saddened that a 15-year-old has died in such a violent way.”
