Tragedy in South London: Mother and Two Young Sons Found Dead

Victims Identified

Detectives have named the victims found dead at a Belvedere home in south London. They are 47-year-old Nadja De Jager, and her two sons, Alexander, 9, and Maximus, 7.

Police Respond to Welfare Concern

Officers were called to the property on Mayfield Road at 11:50am on Thursday, 9 March, following concerns for the occupants’ welfare. London Ambulance Service also attended.

Police forced entry and tragically found the three deceased at the scene.

Investigation Underway

Detective Inspector Ollie Stride said: “This is a deeply sad case and we are continuing to establish the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.”

He added: “Our thoughts are with the family as they struggle to come to terms with their loss. We ask that their privacy be respected at this extremely difficult time.”

What We Know So Far

  • Next of kin have been notified and are receiving specialist support.
  • Post-mortem examinations will be arranged in due course.
  • The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation.
  • Detectives are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the case.
  • A crime scene remains in place as enquiries continue.
