A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital after a nasty crash in Portsmouth today (Friday, May 12). Emergency services swarmed the junction of Richmond Road and Victoria Road South just after lunchtime.
White 4×4 Pulls Out, Causes Smash
Eyewitnesses say a white car pulled out right in front of the motorcyclist, who then smashed into the passenger side of the white 4×4 with a powerful T-bone collision. The scene quickly turned chaotic with multiple emergency vehicles flooding the area. Roads policing urged drivers to steer clear of the crash site.
Road Closures and Traffic Chaos
“I couldn’t even get my car out because police had shut the road. It looked really bad,” said one onlooker.
An ambulance spokeswoman confirmed the crash involved a motorbike and a car at the Richmond Road and Victoria Road South junction. The injured rider was taken by land ambulance to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.
