Man Dies After Shocking Stabbing Inside Derby Lloyd's Bank

A brutal stabbing inside a Lloyd’s Bank in Derby city centre has claimed the life of 37-year-old Gurvinder Johal. The tragic attack unfolded at around 2.35pm on Tuesday, 6 May, at the branch on St Peter’s Street.
Emergency Services Rush, But Too Late
Paramedics rushed to the scene but despite their best efforts, Mr Johal was pronounced dead at the branch. Derbyshire Police have confirmed his family has been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. The family has asked for privacy during this heartbreaking time.
Two Men Arrested in Connection to Murder
Police arrested two men yesterday over the fatal stabbing. A man in his 40s faces suspicion of murder. Meanwhile, another man in his 30s is held on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in custody as enquiries continue.
