Tragic Knife Attack in Ilford Kills Two Children

Homicide detectives are probing the deaths of two children in Ilford after a shocking knife attack. Police rushed to a home on Aldborough Road North around 5.30pm on Sunday, 26 April, following reports that a man and two kids were injured.

One-Year-Old Girl Dies at Scene, Three-Year-Old Boy Succumbs Later

Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, arrived swiftly. A one-year-old girl was declared dead at the scene. A three-year-old boy was rushed to hospital but sadly died later. Their next of kin have been informed.

Man in Critical Condition, No Arrests Yet

A 40-year-old man was also hospitalised with knife wounds and remains in critical condition. Police say all involved knew each other. Though no arrests have been made, officers are not hunting anyone else at this stage. A crime scene remains in place as the Met’s Specialist Crime Command investigates.
