Gas Explosion Rocked Yate Home, Injuring Three and Forcing Mass Evacuation
Devastating Blast Shakes Lancaster Road
A suspected gas explosion tore through a house on Lancaster Road in Yate near Bristol in the early hours of Tuesday. The blast caused a huge fire and left three people injured, with around 40 residents forced to flee their homes.
Emergency services arrived just before 7am after reports of a massive bang and flames ripping through the property. Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the house suffered catastrophic damage, with the roof completely destroyed and debris scattered across the street.

Multiple fire crews, paramedics, and police officers responded promptly. Three injured victims were taken to Southmead Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a fourth was treated on site for minor wounds.
