Massive Drug Haul Worth Over £1M Seized in Stoke Newington Raid

Police Smash Huge Drug Stash in Church Street Flat

Officers from the Central East Command Unit stormed a property in Church Street, Stoke Newington, on Tuesday, 13 July. Acting on a tip-off, they executed a warrant and uncovered a colossal cache of drugs.

Tonnes of Class A, B & C Drugs Found in Unoccupied Address

The empty flat concealed approximately 51kg of pills, believed to be MDMA, plus 6kg of ketamine, 4kg of crack cocaine, 4kg of cocaine, and 5kg of hash and cannabis resin. This massive seizure involves drugs spanning classes A, B, and C — a serious blow to organised crime in the area.

Investigation Ongoing, No Arrests Yet

The Central East Drugs Focus Desk is leading the probe into the discovery. Despite the haul, no arrests have been made so far.

Detective Sergeant Green Preston said: “This is a great example of the police working with the public to tackle drug supply within our communities. Drugs are tied to violence and misery on London’s streets, and we will do everything to clamp down on the gangs behind it.

This seizure is worth over £1 million — cash that would have lined the pockets of criminals driving the drug markets in Hackney and Tower Hamlets. We’re proud to have disrupted their operation and will keep fighting to bring them to justice.”
