Katy Bourne Clinches Fourth Term as Sussex Police Commissioner

Katy Bourne has stormed to a fourth term as Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner. The seasoned Conservative has held the role since 2012 and secured a whopping 122,495 votes this time around.
Rivals Trail Behind
Her nearest challenger, Labour and Co-operative’s Paul Richards, bagged 99,502 votes. Liberal Democrat Jamie Bennett pulled in 48,923, while Green Party candidate Jonathan Kent grabbed 43,105.
Voter Turnout Sits at 24.5%
The election saw moderate engagement, with just under a quarter of Sussex residents casting their ballots. Bourne thanked voters and vowed to boost local policing.
“I am humbled and grateful to have the continued support of Sussex residents,” Bourne said. “I promise to provide more visible and accessible local policing to drive down crime. We have seen some tremendous improvements, and over the next four years, I want Sussex Police’s performance soaring across the board.”
