Man Arrested Over Shocking Christmas Day Double Stabbing in Bletchley

Double Murder Shocks Buckinghamshire

A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering two women in a brutal stabbing attack on Christmas Day in Bletchley, Buckinghamshire. Police raced to a block of flats on Santa Cruz Avenue at around 6:30pm where they found two women, aged 38 and 24, fatally wounded. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Also hospitalised with serious injuries were a teenage boy and a man in his late 20s. Both remain in stable condition. Tragically, a dog injured in the attack also died despite vets’ efforts.

Suspect Held as Investigation Unfolds

The man arrested is from Milton Keynes" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Milton Keynes and is being held on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. Thames Valley Police stress the victims and suspect were known to each other and no further suspects are being sought.

“I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the families of the women who have tragically died in this shocking incident,” said Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin leading the probe.

“While this double murder investigation may alarm the public, we have made an arrest and do not believe anyone else is involved.”

Strong Police Presence Reassures Local Residents

Forensic teams have been combing the scene amid a heavy police presence on Santa Cruz Avenue. Officers have assured residents the incident appears isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

“Members of the public will see a large police presence while our inquiries continue. Please approach officers with any concerns or questions,” added DCI Brangwin.
