Man Arrested After Knocking Over Two Pensioners on Mobility Scooter

A 40-year-old man has been arrested after ramming into two elderly women waiting at a bus stop on Upper Wickham Lane. The incident happened on June 14 and left the pensioners sprawled on the pavement.

Serious Charges Laid

Police say the suspect is held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. He’s also accused of bodily harm through dangerous, wanton driving – all over what appeared to be a rampage on a mobility scooter.
