Man’s body pulled from the water at Monks ferry in Birkenhead

Police have sadly confirmed that a man has died and his body has been pulled from the Monks Ferry in Birkenhead this morning (Wednesday) The death of the man is not being treated as suspicious death At around 6.10am, a call was received by Police stating that of a man was in the water having been found at Monks Ferry by a member of the public.  Police, MFRS and the Coastguard attended and the man was confirmed deceased at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man, notify his next of kin, and establish the cause of his death, which are not believed to be suspicious at this stage.
