Met Police Hunt Terror-Linked Protesters from London’s Pro-Palestine Marches
The Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command has launched a public appeal to track down a group of men spotted sporting clothing and holding signs linked to terrorist organisations during recent pro-Palestine protests in central London.
Massive Crowds Hamper Immediate Arrests
Following huge marches over Armistice Weekend, specialist officers are investigating several incidents. But the packed crowds made it tough to pin down suspects on the spot. Some individuals caught on social media may have only briefly worn extremist gear, police say, adding to the challenge.
Eleven Men Now in Police Crosshairs
- Anti-Semitic Chant Incident (Armistice Day March): Two men aged 20-30 wanted for inciting racial hatred. One wore a black baseball cap with a white front; the other sported a black puffer coat.
- Pro-Hamas Chanting at Trafalgar Square: Police seek two men—one Asian man in his 40s-50s with a grey beard and dark hoodie with white square, and a younger man in black hoodie, grey tracksuit bottoms, and a green neck covering.
- Support for Proscribed Group on King Charles Street: Six men identified from footage are being sought for inciting racial hatred and backing terrorist groups.
- Hamas Placard Waver on Bond Street: A man with short hair, light skin, blue jacket, and scarf remains unidentified.
Commander Murphy Pleads for Help
“We have clear images and believe plenty of people will recognise these individuals,” said Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command. “If you recognise yourself in the photos, please come forward to aid communication with police.”
