Fatal Crash Near Basingstoke: Police Hunt Witnesses
Tragedy struck near Basingstoke yesterday morning when a collision between a tractor and motorcycle turned deadly.
Motorcyclist Killed on Ridge Lane
At 11:40am on 26 April, police rushed to Ridge Lane, Newnham, after reports of a crash involving an agricultural tractor and a motorcycle.
The 62-year-old motorcyclist, from 1 Grey, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Identification procedures are ongoing.
Tractor Driver Unharmed
The 25-year-old tractor driver escaped without injuries. Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the collision.
