Kent Police Shut Down Illegal Rave at Darenth Country Park
Kent cops swooped on an unlicensed music bash at Darenth Country Park last weekend. They seized sound gear and dispersed around 20 revellers before the party could really kick off.
Early Intervention Stops Rave in Its Tracks
Officers arrived at 8pm on Saturday 22 August after spotting plans for the illegal gathering. They caught the group as they were setting up and quickly shut the event down.
A dispersal order was slapped on the area to stop partygoers from coming back. Police stayed put all night, ready to break up any further attempts at a get-together.
Police Warn Against Risky Raves Amid Health Concerns
“Kent is no place for unlicensed music events,” said Assistant Chief Constable Nicola Faulconbridge. “Besides the noise and litter, the public health risk and lack of social distancing remain a major concern. Anyone thinking of holding or attending such events needs to consider the serious health risks involved.”
“Those who ignore warnings and put others at risk face arrest and equipment seizures.”
