Tragic Fatal Collision in Croydon: Pedestrian Dies After Crash

Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal crash in South Croydon. Officers were called at 7.36pm on Tuesday, 3 January, following a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Brighton Road.

Driver Stayed at Scene, No Arrests Made

The driver stopped and is cooperating with police. Emergency crews, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene. The male pedestrian was rushed to a south London hospital but sadly died on Friday, 6 January.

Victim Identified, Public Urged to Come Forward

The victim was a 34-year-old man. His next of kin have been informed, but police have not released his name yet. Officers want anyone who saw the collision but hasn’t spoken to them to call 101 quoting reference CAD 5784/03Jan.
