Tragic Stabbing in Portsmouth Claims Young Man’s Life
Tributes have poured in for Billy Green, 26, who was fatally stabbed on Monday, 11 January. Officers rushed to Pickwick House on Wingfield Street at 12:43pm after reports of a serious assault. On arrival, they found Billy wounded and sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Family Mourns ‘Cheeky Chappy’ Taken Too Soon
Billy’s family released a heartfelt statement: “Our first-born son, heartbroken parents, taken way too young, he had his whole life to live. Billy will always be in our hearts and memories. A cheeky chappy with an infectious laugh. Loved forever by mum, dad and family.”
Man Arrested as Murder Probe Continues
- A 23-year-old man from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
- Police say they are not seeking any other suspects and believe this was an isolated incident.
