Police Appeal After Youth Assault at Strood Football Match

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault at a youth football match in Strood. The incident occurred during an event at Strood Academy on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

According to reports, a 15-year-old boy was assaulted during the match. The teenager sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was later discharged after receiving medical care.

Investigation Underway

Following the incident, a teenage boy was interviewed under caution in connection with the assault. The investigation remains ongoing, and officers are working to establish the full circumstances.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have mobile phone footage of the altercation, as well as any witnesses who have not yet come forward.
