Thieves Target Work Site in Godshill – Police Hunt Witnesses

Police are on the lookout for witnesses after a daring burglary at a work site in Godshill, Isle of Wight.

Burglars Break In and Steal Diesel and Tools

Between 11am on December 20 and midday on December 21, intruders forced their way into a container at Munsley Close work site. They made off with two cans of white diesel and expensive professional tools, including a Bomag vibrating plate and a Bomag BT60 tamper.

Getaway Gear and Dash Cam Appeal

Officers believe the crooks used a vehicle parked nearby and a wheelbarrow to haul away the machinery. PC Timothy Campany from the Neighbourhood Policing Team urged locals to help.

“Did you drive past the site between 11am on December 20 and midday the following day? If you have dash cam footage, please review it and get in touch,” he said.

“Also, if anyone is offered plant machinery or diesel for sale, please contact us immediately.”
