Knife-Wielding Bandit Strikes Twice in Brighton

Armed Robbery at Westbourne Street Shop

Just after 8pm on Saturday, February 12, a man stormed into a store on Westbourne Street brandishing a large knife. He demanded cash, then made off with a haul of cigarettes and money from the till. The thief fled down Coleridge Street towards Sackville Road.

Second Knife Incident the Next Evening

The very next day at 7.05pm, the same suspect struck fear again. He entered a convenience store on Goldstone Road carrying a big knife but left empty-handed after the shop owner confronted him. He sped off north along Goldstone Street and disappeared down Shirley Street.

  • The suspect is described as a white man wearing a dark hooded top with his hood up and a face mask.
  • Police want anyone who recognises him from the photo to come forward.
