Authorities estimate around 50 migrants, mostly Kurdish and Vietnamese, entered the UK through this gang’s routes since 2022. Their illicit activities aren’t limited to Britain; smuggling attempts have also been spotted at UK borders with Ireland and France.
Fake Passports Sold for Over £1,000
Intelligence reveals that the gang manufactured and sold counterfeit travel documents at extortionate prices, raking in more than £1,000 per fake passport. Desperate migrants were the victims of these costly scams.
Government Vows Crackdown on Border Criminals
Michael Tomlinson, Minister for Countering Illegal Migration, vowed relentless action against border crime. He said,
“We’re working day and night to dismantle the criminal gangs who are trying to turn a profit by abusing our borders. These arrests send a clear message: if you engage in this kind of criminality, our teams will find you, and justice will be served—no matter where you are in the UK.”
