Oil Heist Busted Outside Gravesend Pub
Officers from the Tactical Operations Unit spotted a suspicious vehicle outside a pub on Gravesend Road just before 3 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Dodgy Excuse Doesn’t Hold Up
Two men inside claimed they were collecting cooking oil. But cops quickly found no such arrangement existed. The pair were immediately arrested on suspicion of theft.
Empty Drums and More Thefts Unearthed
A vehicle search uncovered several empty drums. Further investigations linked the car to multiple other thefts in the area.
The suspects, a 39-year-old and a 36-year-old London men, have been released pending more inquiries.
