Man Stabbed to Death in Barnet
Emergency services were called to Barnet at 6 a.m. and found the body of 44-year-old Stefan Stelian Moraru. The Romanian national was pronounced dead at the scene on Chandos Avenue.
Single Stab Wound to the Heart
His family has been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. A post-mortem on Tuesday, March 21, confirmed that Moraru died from a single stab wound to the heart.
No Arrests Yet – Police Seek Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John appealed for witnesses to come forward. “Our investigations show there was a disturbance on Chandos Avenue around 10.30pm on Sunday, March 19,” he said. “We want anyone who was near Chandos Avenue or Whetstone High Street at that time, especially drivers with dashcams, to help.”
