Man Dies After Jumping From Tunbridge Wells Multi-Storey Car Park

Emergency services swooped on Tunbridge Wells this afternoon after a man tragically jumped from the top floor of a multi-storey car park.

Police Seal Off Car Park Following Fatality

Just after 3pm on Wednesday, Kent Police and the Kent Air Ambulance raced to Crescent Road Car Park. The man fell from the roof, prompting a major emergency response.

A large police cordon now blocks access around Calverley Grounds and Crescent Road. While drivers are allowed to collect their vehicles, no new cars are permitted to enter.

Crime Scene Investigation Underway

Forensics officers remain at the scene. A green privacy screen has been erected to shield the area from onlookers.

Police have kept members of the public away while the investigation continues.

“We were called at 2.55pm on Wednesday 29 January 2020 to a report that a man had fallen from Crescent Road Car Park in Tunbridge Wells,” a Kent Police spokesman said. “Officers are currently at the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service. The multi-storey car park is closed off and police have been seen all over Monson Road.”
