Rapid Response Clears Roads in 30 Minutes
Officers acted fast, removing all pedestrians from the motorway and reopening both sides in just half an hour. Despite the disruption, swift action kept the situation under control.
Ten Arrests Made After Dangerous Road Block
Police hauled in ten individuals connected to the highway disruption. Chief Inspector Lee Devall warned:
“Not only will incidents of this nature be frustrating for road users trying to reach their destination, walking into fast moving traffic is extremely dangerous.”
He added:
“I’d like to thank road users today for their patience and understanding. You’ve helped us to clear the area quickly, to keep people safe, minimise disruption, and keep Essex moving.”
Police Vow Tough Stance Against Future Disruptions
CI Devall confirmed the force is well-prepared for such incidents and will continue to tackle them robustly to protect the public and keep traffic flowing smoothly.
