EFIT Released After Southampton Jewellery Burglary

Police are hunting a man caught on CCTV after a brazen afternoon break-in in Southampton’s West End.

Jewellery Stolen During Bold Home Raid

The burglary happened around 2.15pm on Tuesday, July 12, at a property in Old School Gardens. A homeowner in their 60s surprised the intruder inside their house. The thief fled through the back garden, making off with jewellery including gold rings and earrings.

Distinctive Suspect Details

Hampshire Police have released an efit image of the man they want to question. He is described as:

  • White male, late 20s to early 30s
  • Approximately 6ft 1in tall, slim build
  • Dark, flat, straight, unwashed hair with fringe pushed to one side
  • Stubble on upper lip and chin
  • Thin, pointed nose and two twisted front teeth
  • Wearing a plain blue windcheater top

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“This is a quiet cul-de-sac off a busy main road. We want to hear from anyone who recognises this man or saw suspicious behaviour in the area before or after the incident,” said PC Paul Rose from Southampton CID.
