Police Hunt Five Suspects Over Sexual Attacks on London Buses
Detectives have released images of five people they desperately want to identify in connection with sexual assaults on London’s bus network. The cases are separate incidents, occurring across the city between March and July, and are not linked.
Rare but Shocking Attacks Spark Public Appeal
London’s transport network generally boasts a low crime rate, thanks to high-tech CCTV and electronic payment systems that catch many offenders quickly. But in some cases, technology alone can’t ID suspects. That’s where the public’s help is crucial.
Detective Superintendent Christina Jessah, Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “Ensuring buses remain safe and open for all is vital. Sexual assaults on buses remain very rare, but when they do happen, we are committed to supporting victims and prosecuting offenders. Technology and investigation methods are strong, but public information plays a key role.”
“We urge any victims or witnesses of sexual offences to contact the police straight away so perpetrators can be caught.”

Detective Superintendent Jessah added: “These vile acts are unacceptable, won’t be tolerated, and have no place on our buses or in our communities. We’re determined to keep bus routes safe for everyone.”
TfL Vows Zero Tolerance and Calls for Info
Mandy McGregor, TfL Head of Transport Policing and Community Safety, said: “No one should face unwanted sexual behaviour on our transport. These incidents are appalling. We work closely with police to catch offenders fast.”
“Safety is our top priority with around 2,500 officers and a vast CCTV network patrolling London’s transport. Every sexual offence report is taken seriously and fully investigated. If you have info, please tell the police.”
