Woman Attacked in Early Hours on Waterlow Road
A woman was reportedly targeted by a man while walking home from the town centre in the early hours of Saturday, 18 July 2020.
The victim was passing through Waterlow Road at around 12:30am when the suspect followed her for a short distance. The assault took place near a car park by the flats at Walsingham House.
Police Hunt Slim Man with Dark Goatee Beard
The attacker is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5ft 8ins tall, slim build, with a dark goatee and short cropped hair. He wore a dark top and shorts at the time.
Officers are busy with forensic tests, reviewing CCTV, and interviewing local residents to track down the suspect.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses to Come Forward
“The suspect was first seen near an area with garages and a large skip bag on Waterlow Road. After the assault, he headed towards Wheeler Street. He has a fairly distinctive look,” said Detective Constable Paul Wells of the West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team. “We urge anyone with information to get in touch.”
