Red Arrows Jet Crashes in Wales – RAF Engineer Dead, Pilot Ejects
A Red Arrows jet plummeted in Wales today, claiming the life of an RAF engineer at RAF Valley in Anglesey. The pilot managed to eject and is currently receiving medical treatment, but their condition remains unknown.
Tragic Crash at RAF Valley
The crash occurred around 1.30pm at RAF Valley near Holyhead. Emergency crews, including both ambulance and air ambulance, rushed to the scene following the incident. Sadly, one person died, prompting a full investigation into the cause.
MOD Confirms Incident, Launches Probe
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson stated: “We are aware of an incident today at RAF Valley involving a Hawk aircraft. We are investigating the incident and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.” It’s reported two people were on board the jet when it crashed.

Both ambulance and air ambulance teams remain at RAF Valley as emergency responders continue to manage the aftermath of this tragic accident.
