Schoolboy, 14, Stabbed to Death in Broad Daylight Over Scooter in Canning Town

A 14-year-old boy, named locally as Fares, has been tragically stabbed to death while wearing his school uniform in Canning Town.

Barely 4pm When Horror Unfolded

The shocking attack happened just before 4pm on Friday, April 23, in broad daylight on a busy Barking Road street. Police and armed units rushed to the scene within minutes, joined by the London Air Ambulance.

Despite frantic efforts from paramedics and air ambulance crew, Fares was pronounced dead at the scene.

Attack Sparked Over Electric Scooter

Fares’ family revealed the cruel stabbing was over an electric scooter. A heartbreaking row turned fatal in seconds on a crowded street.

Officers broke the devastating news to Fares’ parents at the scene, with police visibly moved by the tragic loss.

Murder Investigation Underway – No Arrests Yet

Scotland Yard confirmed a murder inquiry is underway. Police were called at 3.56pm to reports of a stabbing in Barking Road, E16.

A crime scene remains in place and expect a heavy police presence as detectives hunt for the killer. No arrests have been made yet.

“Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead shortly after 4.30pm. Efforts are under way to inform the victim’s next of kin,” said a Met Police spokesperson.
