Shocked neighbours in Dartford looked on in horror as a fierce fire tore through a first-floor flat late Sunday night. Emergency crews raced to Mitchell Close shortly after 11pm to battle the blaze and tend to the injured.
Two Hurt and Flat Gutted After Fiery Rampage
The fire ripped through the flat’s windows, leaving the property completely gutted. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance treated one person at the scene, while two others were rushed to hospital for further care.
Residents Speak Out on Frightening Fire
“We were all shocked, you don’t expect to see something like that in the middle of the night where you live, it’s scary. Thank God nobody was seriously hurt,” said one neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous.
Another added: “There was a big commotion with flashing lights everywhere. All the curtains were twitching. They seemed to have it under control pretty quickly luckily.”
Investigation Underway as Firefighters Confirm Cause Unknown
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed: “Kent fire and rescue were informed of a fire in the first floor of a flat. Crews from Dartford attended the incident. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.”
