Kent Fire and Rescue Service swung into action on Sunday evening in response to a fire that broke out at a derelict pub located in The Square, Kemsley, Sittingbourne. The incident was reported to authorities at 5.30pm on Sunday.

A rapid response saw five fire engines and a height vehicle dispatched to the scene to address the blaze. Firefighters confronted the fire, which was located on the first floor of the abandoned pub. The situation presented significant challenges for the fire crews, but their swift and coordinated efforts helped to contain the fire.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident. Firefighters acted swiftly to ensure that the fire did not pose any immediate danger to nearby structures or the public.

As of now, the cause of the fire remains undetermined, and investigations are underway to ascertain what led to the blaze. Kent Police were also present at the scene to provide support and assist with the ongoing inquiry.
