Knife Attack in Woolwich Leaves Man Fighting for Life

Emergency services rushed to John Wilson Street in Woolwich on Sunday evening after a stabbing seriously injured a man. The London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called just after 5:30pm on 11 May following reports of a brutal knife attack.

LAS spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.33pm yesterday (11 May) to reports of a stabbing in John Wilson Street, Woolwich. We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and members of our tactical response unit. London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched. We treated the patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road as a priority.”

Road Transport Chosen Over Helicopter Amid Urban Chaos

Despite London’s Air Ambulance being on site, the victim was rushed to hospital by road. The severity of his injuries demanded urgent care at a major trauma unit. Authorities have not disclosed his current condition.

Investigation Ongoing – No Arrests Yet

The Metropolitan Police have launched a probe but no arrests have been made. They vow to provide updates as the inquiry unfolds. This stabbing adds to a worrying rise in knife-related assaults gripping London this spring.
