Teen Seriously Hurt in Brutal Attack Near Woking Park
A teenage boy was left seriously injured in a violent assault close to Woking Park on Kingfield Road earlier today, Saturday 14 December.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Police and paramedics were called at around 5.50pm following reports of a disturbance near Woking Leisure Centre. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The teen received urgent treatment at the scene before being rushed to hospital for further care.
Police Launch Probe, Seal Off Area
A police cordon remains in place, covering parts of Woking Leisure Centre’s car park. Specialist units are combing the area for evidence while officers stay on hand to reassure local residents.
Surrey Police confirmed the attack appears to be an isolated incident. “Those involved are believed to be known to one another,” they said.
“While we know this will cause concern within the local community, we are treating this as an isolated incident between people likely known to each other, with no continuing or wider threat to the public.”
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Investigations are ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage, or who saw the assault to contact them on 101 or online quoting the reference given by officers.
